All eyes on Wyoming's winter cloud seeding experiment
Wyoming's cloud-seeding experiment is gaining big-time attention by Wes Smalling
In February 2009, the Casper Star Tribune published a story by staff writer Wes Smalling regarding the Wyoming cloud-seeding experiment, which is drawing a lot of attention. Weather Modification Inc. (WMI) is the contractor performing the operations. National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) and the Desert Research Institute (DRI) are providing independent evaluations of possible precipitation increases. The Wyoming Water Development Commission oversees the project. The University of Wyoming and the University of Tennessee will also be performing additional research on this project.
